JPG and WebP discard some data, so technically yes — but at the default 80% the difference is normally invisible at ordinary viewing size. PNG is handled differently: the file shrinks by reducing the colour palette rather than softening pixels. Either way, Compare shows you both side by side before you download.
WebP, usually by a wide margin — roughly 25–35% smaller than JPG at matched quality, with transparency support. Keep JPG or PNG if the file is going somewhere outside a browser, like a printer or older desktop software.
